Thanking First Responders and Medical Professionals
2020 has certainly been a year of uncertainty and challenge, and Coal Pick Distillery has found a way to step up and rise to the occasion.
During the unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic, medical professionals have been challenged with a shortened supply of personal protective equipment and disinfectants. Upon the initial outbreak, hand sanitizers flew off shelves, leaving many communities with no access to any at all. The increased demand of hand sanitizer caused a major shortage of this vital disinfectant for the medical community.
With our Coal Pick Distillery bourbon currently aging in barrels, we have been working on other exciting distilling projects. When the need arose, we added the production of much-needed hand sanitizer to our workload, putting in extra hours as we knew we had the expertise to help. Since starting production, we have produced hundreds of gallons of hand sanitizer and donated over 5000 bottles of hand sanitizer to first responders, nursing homes, and hospitals from Indiana to Florida, with special attention to local facilities in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.
If you would like to purchase our hand sanitizer, we have plenty availability for purchase. While you are shopping, you might also be interested in a Coal Pick Distillery mask that you can sport while you wait on our bourbon to age to perfection.
At Coal Pick Distillery, it is our goal to be a good neighbor, and the bottom line is that we found an opportunity to use our distilling expertise and give an assist to many first responders and medical professions in many communities. We are proud of this accomplishment and are very happy to have been able to help during this stressful time.
Thank you to all first responders and medical professionals for the care you are providing during this pandemic. Your hard work is very appreciated.
