The Heart Behind the Bottle: Remembering Carrie Lyn
At Coal Pick Distillery, every bottle holds a story—but none more deeply than the legacy of Carrie Lyn, Kevin’s wife and one of Coal Pick’s original founder. Carrie was the heart of it all. She envisioned our logo, chose our iconic bottle, and inspired the artwork on our labels and apparel. She could out fish, out-hunt, and outshoot anyone who visited the property, then turn around and cook the most fantastic meals for guests. Her vision and warmth shaped Coal Pick into what it is today.
In her memory, Kevin is building a retreat center for the Carrie Lyn Cares Foundation on the Coal Pick property. This space will welcome women affected by breast cancer, offering education, respite, and the beauty Carrie loved.
